NJDOE: FTS IS HIGH PERFORMING
Greetings Fredon Families,
I hope your summer is off to a great start. I wanted to pass along some GREAT news that we just received from the New Jersey Department of Education.
Pursuant to the requirements of N.J.A.C. 6A:30, the Fredon Township School District has undergone the New Jersey Quality Single Accountability Continuum (NJQSAC) review. The Executive County Superintendent and team conducted a review of our self-assessment District Performance Review (DPR) document and analyzed district performance against critical indicators in all five NJQSAC areas: instruction and program, fiscal management, governance, operations, and personnel.
Based on the above monitoring, we received the following statement from the NJDOE Assistant Commissioner:
"I am pleased to inform you that your district has satisfied at least 80% of the weighted indicators in each of the five areas of the NJQSAC review process and has been designated as "high performing." The Commissioner will recommend to the State Board of Education that your district be certified as providing a thorough and efficient system of education, for a period of three years or until the next NJQSAC review. Congratulations on this accomplishment."
This is yet another accolade that our district has received this year and one more confirmation that we have a wonderful district with great students, staff, and school community members. Thank you all for your support as we continue to move our high performing district forward!

Fredon Township School Self-Assessment Grade Report = 75 out of 78 points
Interpreting, Publicizing, and Public Review of the Grades
Interpreting — Under the Commissioner’s Program, the school grade is a raw score of data and the sum of the ratings for all indicators within each core element on the School Self-Assessment (e.g., 65 of 78 points). The maximum total score for a school is 78 points. The school district’s grade is an average of the total scores of all schools in the school district. The department issued grade is not represented as a letter grade.
The Department is not issuing any associated value or ranking for the raw and average scores. The raw and average scores reflect the school and school district’s degree of compliance with the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act (ABR), as determined primarily through each school’s self-assessment of its implementation of the ABR.
